Lendle is a website where people could easily lend books through Kindle. I have tried to find pages to see what their interface was, but i have found some old screenshots and hope to figure out their system for lending. Further they do have their features and how they work written out on the page.
With what I found I can really see how they worked with Kindle. I couldn’t find pages where you see that it connected to your kindle account or anything. But with what i gather from this, this is just a way to find people to lend your books to that also have a kindle account.
At the top their site you see a banner updating on the situation, since Kindle has stopped the feature to lend books. The company is basically on hold because of this and havent found a way to continue with them.
“Greetings readers! Please stay tuned as we’re in the process of responding to the recent news that Amazon is disabling the popular ebook lending feature that has been so popular with our subscribers over the years. We’re currently looking for the best way to continue to share the magic of ebook lending, going forward so please watch this space.”
What I gather from the images and the text of features, there are books that are made available on the site for lending and you can choose from that selection. The other person gets a notification to give permission and you can the lend the book and vice versa. How that further works i wont be able to figure out with the site being closed but it was interesting to see how they handled things like letting people lend more books by lending other books more often.
